Today we are going to face our last exam of this semester which is a open book exam.We did two quiz of this course those are also open book.But our teacher make such queestion where open book does not matter.We have to think deeply and then give the answer of those question.I think this one of the best way of teaching-learning.Teacher make us creative and help us to think.
TSL604 is a course where i learned so many things without any force from teacher.Sir always make our class interactive and inspire us.He thinks we people can do something and he try to explore that by his teaching.He engaged all the students in his class without any force.
Among four courses (i have taken)this is one of the best course from where i can learn something very enthusiastically.I want to apply his teaching style in my teaching life.Sometimes Sir gave us some advices related our life,i will try to follow those. May be sir can not take more courses with us.We really miss him and his teaching pattern..

How to make a chicken sandwich :) !!!!
Today for my final project i have select a lesson from class six English book-Make your snacks.I eat chicken sandwich at outside but i never think to make it at home. In fact i don not know how to make a chicken sandwich. Today i learn and i hope in my semester break i will try it in my home.
2.Spread the butter thinly on one side of each slice
3.Then,put a slice of cheese on the buttered side of the bread.
4.After that,put egg(can use chicken) on the top of the cheese.
5.Arrenge slice of cucumber,lettuce and some tamato slices.
6.place the other slice of bread on top.
Now your chicken sandwich is ready!!!!!!!

My first teaching exprience...
It was my 1st micro-teaching of teaching
practicum at Devpro(7-6-14). First I introduce myself to them and greet students. Then
I told them about today’s lesson and what they have to do (instructions).I
wrote on the board and read loudly what I was writing. I did that because my
writings become clearer to them. I explained to them what I write and whether
they understand or not. I also give examples. Then I made groups and involves
student to answer the questions asked by another group members. They ask
questions each other. I requested two students to come in front of the class and
how they can introduce themselves. They asked questions each other. It made clearer
to other students and other students also did it in the same way.
it was a speaking class and the topic was
“Getting to know”. So the objective of my class was to make the students able
to introduce themselves to other.
As it was my first class -I was a little nervous.This was my failure.
Overall it was a good experience for me.
Some common mistakes....
Today we have attended the last class of TSL506. We present our final project.When we present our presentations our honorable teacher detect some mistakes which are very common but we do not notice.
For instance- when we write about four skills(speaking,writing,listening and reading) we write"skills" but we write about one skills like-'listening skill',it is not correct.we should write always "skills".
We write "increasing skills",but we should write 'enhance skills".
Another thing i have learned,we should write "to listen".
We should use "Materials" not material.

Use of computer to enhance language learning in our country(Assignment-2)
Recent years we have shown use of computer in the field of education is increasing.There are many reasons of using computer and technology in ELT. With advent of multimedia computing and internet,the role of computer and language learning has become an important issue.
Communication and information are the two most important uses of the Internet. Communication is one of the biggest advantage of use internet in education.Students can communicate with teacher via email or facebook group.Internet is ocean which is full with information.Students can use it to fulfill their purposes.They can research,find information etc.
As a tutor: The computer can be work as classroom tutor.It is also can be a tutor in relieving the teacher of many activities in his personal role as classroom tutor.
Corpora: It is used to do statistical analysis and hypothesis testing, checking occurrences or validating linguistic rules within a specific language territory.
COCA(Corpus of Contemporary American English): By this tool learners can find out different words and how to use them.
Grammar Girl: Grammar girl provides to improve writing.Whether English is our first language or second language, these grammar, punctuation, style, and business tips will make a better and more successful writer.
Virtual Writing tool: Students can correct their grammatical mistakes by this tool.It enhance their writing skills as well as remove grammatical mistakes.
Free rice: By the free rice students can learn synonym-matching and grammar exercise.Students learn through practice(game) and through trial and errors. Students also get instant feedback from here.The game start from easier level to higher level.So in activities part it is very helpful tool for students.

current integrative approach: Here pronunciation is not taught separately.It gives more focus on s stress, rising tone etc rather than sound of letter.
Teaching writing by using computer: Writing plays a vital in SLA(second language acquisition).Writing parts deals with three parts:
1.pre writing
2.while writing
3.post writing
In the pre writing part students have to jot down their ideas that is called brain storming part. in the while writing they decorate their ideas and try to maintain sequence. In the post writing part finally they edit their writing. For these activities they can use computers.They also can use blogs,Wikipedia,Facebook etc.
Teaching reading by using computer: Teachers can find suggestions, lesson plans, practical support, information, and materials through the Internet. In fact, using a computer can make a teacher's life easier and more efficient.
Teaching listening using computer: we can enhance students listening ability through using computer.They can collect audio from internet and also can watch video in the YouTube.They try to understand those and try to practice those.It helps them to improve listening power.They also understand easily second language or target language.Teacher can use Audacity softer here.teacher can record the text and students can listen it.
Teaching speaking using computer: Students can different conversation in the computer and then they can practice with their peers.They also learn daily English through computer and use those in their daily life.

An expert in the field of Intercultural Communications, Dr. Andy Curtis
has worked with teachers and learners in Europe, Asia and the Middle
East, North, South and Central America, and he has published articles in
journals as well as several books and books chapters. Anaheim University TESOL
Professor Andy Curtis began his professional life as a Medical Science but
after gaining his first qualification in TESOL, in 1989, he decided to
leave medical science and pursue his real passions – languages, teaching
and learning.
I am lucky to participate a seminar of him.That was held in Brac center and my brother informed me. That day we finished our Teaching Practicum and my other classmates also went there. Our director Lady Aysa Abed was also there. Dr.Arifa Rhamn,Dr Rubina khan were there.
We went on time. All were there.After finishing opening speeches Dr Andy Curtis came. I am really surprised to see him.He looks like Bangladeshi people. He talked about his some personal experience like how he become a TESOLIAN,his son and family also.
Which idea i like most from his speech that is way of our learning:
1.The head
2.The hand
3.The Heart
The head: It helps us to think that is our cognitive power. Our head can think critically,give solution,give feedback and so on. In TESOL we can think about our lesson plan critically,we can make,we can observe class and we can make ourselves as a teacher. All these things we do by head.
The hand: Our body language is one of the important factor and our gesture. These things we do through our hand.We can write,we show some things etc.
The Heart:Heart is one of the important part which help to feel myself. My activities,right or wrong,my emotions etc.
Finally, we attend a photo session with him.Overall it is good time with him and we can gather lots of things in our head.Now time to implementation.

Final project of TSL 506..
This is first time,i am thinking about ICT(full) base class.If there is no use of paper and pen.Just click in PC and comes all lessons and activities in front of me!! Yes this is possible now. But those who have lack of knowledge of ICT like me,it is very difficult for them.Now i am facing lots of problems to do this.As our course instructor said,we have to use different internet tools for making our lesson. I can understand and plans come in my head but lack of ICT knowledge i can not apply it.
As our final exam is going on,it is also difficult to give enough time to check other education base soft wares.Though i search some websites but they tell open account by credit card.So overall i am really worried about my final project.

Final Presentation of Teaching Practicum................
This presentation is about what we have learn in the whole semester.We have to write final reflection paper about the same topic.I gave my presentation at 2nd day(there were three days for presentation). Because of some personal problems i made my presentation within short time. I was not well prepared as well.Whatever i could finish my presentation somehow though i was not please about my presentation.
Overall i feel good.I know what i have learn last four months.our Presentation contains-1. Micro Teaching ,,2.Peer Teaching focus on four skills- Speaking, Listening , Reading,Writing.

last class of TSL 604.........................
The sky is cloudy and gray.It is gently drizzling.We are on the 12th floor of BRAC University.One side of the class is decorated by glass.Suddenly we look outside.Teacher call us at that side and we become fascinated to see that.it is our last class of TSL604.We do a wonderful class with wonderful weather.Teacher give review on whole course and make clear about our problems.We tell about our some topics which need review and Sir give lecture on those.We all drink tea together and do some gossiping.Finally Sir tell about final exams and final paper.We all enjoy the class a lot......Hope we will do better in our exam.................
Final Exam(TSL-503)!!
Today i have finished final exam of TSL 506.There are lots of writings in the exam.One question is without any option and another two have options.All the questions are common to all.I think all do well.I also write all the questions answer.Dont know what will happen!!But feel relax a little.Today i have finished two exams.Still lots of works are pending....................
I have a portfpolio!!!!!!!!!!
I never make portfolio such way. Portfolio contain my records what i have done whole semester in Teaching Practicum. Finally today i have submit my portfolio and teacher say that he will back it to us. There is table of content where i write which things i include in my portfolio. I also include all handouts provided teacher and self reflection paper.Class observation report and recode sheet also there.then i cover all things with light green color cover page.Finally i feel too happy to make such portfolio................................

Super Moon Night!!!
Next sunday is super moon night.In this day we can see moon from very close.Moon looks bigger and bright than other days. Moon will stay three lakh,56 thousand and 896 Km distance from us. If we want see again we have to wait one year,says scientists.
A supermoon is the coincidence of a full moon or a new moon with the closest approach.
The distance from moon to Earth varies throughout the month and year. On average the distance is about 238,000 miles (382,900 kilometers). During a month, when the moon is furthest away from Earth it's called apogee. when the moon is closest to Earth it is called perigee . When the full moon coincides with being closest to Earth, or perigee, it is called a supermoon.
I am eagerly waiting for that......

Last class of TSL 503
Semester has come to end. Today was the last class of TSL 507.We had to submit two assignments and one presentation.Sir also gave us final review and discuss about questions of final exam at first.Then students presents their presentations on Text Book evaluation under NCTB. Here one thing was not good to me. Sir told us to make assignments on Text evaluation and make presentation also. We people made our presentation as good as possible. I also gave a lot of time on my presentation making. But today when we were in the class Sir said,there is no marks on presentation. I got surprised and sad also. Sir can inform us and if he said obviously we make a presentation on that. He might be tell that you have to present what you write, though no marks on that.Obviously we do that. May be we do not make it power point or not give too time on that(presentation). But.....whatever i enjoyed this course.Sir gave us lots of book names.Sometimes it seems to me SIR is a library!Lots of rare books are to him!he shows us also some books which are related to our course and those are helpful.

what a day!!!!!
when i was at my primary or secondary level of education, i was 4-5 hour at school or college. I think most of us. now i am a student of post graduate and work pressure also increase. But staying time of at class has break the record!!! today we most TESOLians start 10.30am till 6.30pm (our class time). Though i enjoy it a lot. We have presentation and assignments submission today.
At 10.30am we do a lecture base class till 2pm.Then there is a presentation session of another class. I have no presentation today (2pm-3.30pm). i observe my peers presentations.
Finally the last class(3.30pm-6.30pm). I have a one presentation and two assignments. I can do it properly.Though at last i feel sleepy but i try to concentration on lectures of our honorable teacher. In fact we do not get time for our lunch even. when we finish our class,oh it is excellent feelings.Finally we go to home and take preparation for others activities of next classes and exams.........................
