about to end..................

I was very excited at 2-5-14.That was my birthday and another especial  day for me. I seat for a admission test at BRAC university. All were unknown to me and me also unknown to others. After finished written test,we went for viva at the same day. We 7 people seat at BIL.We We five were talking each other and make fun also.Finally after two days i got the result.Then took admission at BRAC university. We five new members (two did not take admission) in TESOL programs and there are more students also.

I have meet with new TESOL mates.I have learn many things from them.All are more or less helpful.As I fresh graduate it is a little challenging to cope up with others.Most them are senior to me. I am trying my level best. But i am enjoying. In every class,every course i am learning new things.
Today is 8-8-14.My 1st semester at BRAC university has come to end. I getting surprised how!!!! how days are going on so quickly!!!Dates for final exams,final projects has given..Within 22-8-14,hope we will complete our 1st semester. Semester final are getting closer.

We have to complete many things within this week ,especially those have four courses like me. Have any one seen a stress free life!!!! i think no.Life is stressful and we have to overcome it. Now I am getting closer of my final exams. I don't know how this four months going on so quickly.....i am coming to the end of my 1st semester (MA in TESOL)...............

tears have gone dry...............................

It's being a country of rivers. River journey one of the attractive journey in our country especially at the southern part of Bangladesh. But this attractive journey become horrible when especial occasion like EID has come.Every year we have to see some horrible accidents.With the rivers full to the brim with monsoon water, the size of crowds at the terminal for launch tickets has increased as buses are unable to operate at some places and taking too long to reach destinations due to rundown condition of roads.Sadarghat launch terminal is  full of newly painted vessels waiting to overload as usual up to double or triple their capacities to transport home bound passengers. Some of those are not even fit at all.
This is Eid,the largest occasion of muslims.People go to their near and dear ones,they do not think about any risk.they  do not care whether the vessels are overloaded or not.This is the great mistake of people.If they become conscious they can stay a safe life.

The overloaded launch was on its way to Mawa from Kewrakandi at 11am Monday (4-8-14)
Pinak-6 that was on its way to Mawa from Kewrakandi was carrying more than 200 passengers against a capacity of 85. It sank in the face of strong waves and high winds in the mighty river.

Today is the 4th day....Their tears have gone dry. But they have kept waiting on the banks of the Padma river at Mawa Ghat to get news of their loved ones who drowned with the ill-fated Pinak-6.

Education,technology and Bangladesh

The need to develop closer link among education, technology and Bangladesh has been a growing concern in the educational programs as well as the term” digital Bangladesh”. Only bookish knowledge can not develop a country, to make a dynamic, vibrant and cohesive nation, need to provides it’s people with adequate skill and more purposeful life. In our country, where the vast majority of the lives in the darkness of illiteracy, particularly in rural areas, how can we expect development. On other hand education system of most of the development counties are advance than us and they do not provide only bookish knowledge but also use technology in the field of education.

 Education in it’s real sense is not confined to mere schooling. I think true education provides assistance to live a life properly and perfectly. Moreover a true education aims at harmonious development of all the faculties and powers of man-physical, intellectual and aesthetic.

How to open a wiki page.....

 Last week i have tried to open a wiki page.Finally i can open it.Now i am describing how one can open his/her wiki page:

1-Think a new topic which is(seems to you) absent in Wikipedia.

                                                                                                                                                                    

2-Go www.wikspace.com

3-Open an ID in Wikipedia.

.4-there is an option-"Joint Wikipedia" and click there.(fill up some information-user name,password,mail)

5-Now goes to the-www.wikipedia.org and chose "English language" and click there.

6-Sign In and put his/her user name and password.

7-There is a search option and he/she has to write down his/her topic there and wiki authority show whether this article is there or not. If not one start her/his writing.

8-He/she get a page to write his article and there are some options as well for decorating the article.

9-He/she have to add external links and references. (an another option beside the link option named "Cite" by which he/she can give references as the sources of the article).

Before publishing you can see your own page by clicking on"see preview" and finally click "save" option for creating wiki page.

the week make me weak.....

I am going to face a stressful week.Eid is coming and Ramadan is going on.This year Ramadan is taking place during summer,with extremely long days.I know after all we have to complete our academic education and so on.But time management become very difficult when lots of work put together.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Can stress kill u!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Last class(Use of technology in ELT),i thought we have no work.Sir gave us a clear idea on wiki page as most of we are face problem and a new lesson.I felt very stress free but at the end of the class my stress free mood is flickering.In the we familier with two new things-Hotpotatos and pod casting.As Sir showed us,both seems interesting to me though i never use those.There are some students those who are very with these but there are also some students like me whenever use those.So we need time otherwise we may do it as we have to finish course task but we can not learn properly.Still most the students can not open wiki page properly,me too.
In this class i got lots of tasks-
1.write my class reflection in the blog within 12-7-14(morning)
2.write the steps which i folledwed to open wiki page within tomorrow
3.make podcast trough audacity software
4.make some activities by following hot potatoes
5.select a topic for final project
6.article reading for presentation(others)
7.article reading and make group presentation and also make quiz on that.
This tasks of one course and i have other three courses as well.I have teaching session on Thursday,a written assignment by tomorrow,a quiz on Thursday.

 I am thinking how i can finish all these things.is it possible within a short time!!!! Where i am not familiar with audacity and recording system,background sounds etc.Yes,may be i can explore it but some time is needed.In the class we just watch video but we should learn it more practically.If we do it one or two time in the class,we can do it within short time.
Now try to be stress free and try to do theses.I have to complete the course and I believe Sir will help us to do all theses things smoothly.

ELT leadership and Manegment

At the very first class of this course (ELT leadership and management) i bcame bore.I could not understand anything and after the i hear same thing from many student of this class.So i was frustrate.But the whole scenario has changed in the second class in a dramatic way. Now i think,among four courses(i took)this one is most favorite to me.This course has taken by honorable Rino wiseman Adhikary and i feel enthusiastic.We are doing TESOL and this course a little far from our destination.But sir makes it very close to our destination.Most impotant thing is that sir is always inspire us and he belive we people can do something.So we also try our level best.Sir also help us outside of the class time and he take tutorial class which is very helpful for us.He gives us extra time before exam and we can share our problem regarding exam syllabus.We finshed one quize and one formal presentation of this course.All of students more or less happy as they said.I also happy.This course helps us to maintain and lead a organization.After finishing TESOL if we want to open a ELT organization,i think we can it constructively.

We do not learn only about leadership but management.We are learning management of ELT and how managing people in ELT organization. There are some new terms to me.At first it seems very hard to me but sir gives a clear idea and makes it understandable. Finally i think this course will help us conceptualize English language teaching as situated within an organization-the organizational management of ELT and the organizational leadership of ELT

First Written Exam at BRAC University

Examination are almost always stressful.This is first written exam at BRAC University and course name is- syllabus, material, design and evaluation.Though i had some idea about it but a little anxiety is going on.We also make group study before exam.Our honorable course instructor-Hamidur Rhaman has given us notes,handouts which are related with exam. I try to be relax and study.Then i have participated in the exam.I try to finish my exam smoothly.Though it is not good experience but i feel relax to think that-i have finished one exam........
